Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program. The aim is to provide a fun and inclusive experience for young children as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. Colac Basketball Association aims to provide local participants with the opportunity to participate in an Aussie Hoops program in term 3 each year.
Our Junior Domestic Basketball competition runs weekly over two seasons, Winter & Summer. Our Winter Competition takes place over term 2. The sign up process occurs mid term 1. Our main junior season is our Summer Competition, which operates over term 4 and 1.
Our Senior Basketball Competition is run over two seasons – a Winter Competition over term 2 and a Summer Competition over term 4 and 1. Winter Competition is generally more casual, run over 8 weeks in term 2. ‘Sign up to Play’ usually opens early March.
The Colac Junior Kookas is the representative program for junior players of the Colac Basketball Association. In the 2023/24 season, the Colac Kookas have 14 teams training and competing in Country Victoria across four different age groups in both the boys and girls competition.
The Colac Kookas Senior Representative Program enters in the Country Basketball League each year. CBL is a representative league held across geographical conferences with Colac being a part of the South West conference.
